It all began with Sky Marcano in her Saltspring Island living room in 2003. A Stay at home mom at the time Sky wanted to pursue her dream of designing. The young mother of two felt there was a lack of fashionable clothing on the market that catered to hectic women who really just wanted to stay in their pyjamas all day! Sky felt the only way to accomplish her dream was to start from the ground up and so Sky Design was born. Sky began to design her clothing, selling to Saltspring Island locals.

One year after the creation of Sky Design, Christina Marcano, Sky's best friend and sister in law joined Sky and together they endeavoured towards creating and amazing line of clothing that makes women look and feel beautiful all of the time. The new collaboration warranted a rebirth of sorts and Sky Design was then transformed into the brand known today as Skyler Clothing.

Skyler Clothing started as a wholesale business with 6 accounts in 2004. It has now grown international with more than 100 stores carrying the Skyler product line worldwide, including Canada, US, Philippines and Ireland.

In the Fall of 2007 Skyler opened two Skyler branded retail locations in the Vancouver area. One is located on West 4th, in the trendy beachside community of Kitsilano, and the other at South Point in South Surrey, a newly developed shopping haven. The two stores are a fantastic way to gather direct consumer feedback from Skyler customers. Above the Kitsilano store is the Skyler Studio and warehouse. In January of 2007, Skyler expanded into television retailing after being approached by The Shopping Channel (TSC). This exciting new endeavour has lead to Skyler being featured on the channel nine times. The national exposure has been phenomenal. You would be suprised at how many Canadians find themselves flipping past the Shopping Channel everyday!
